For those of us who don’t have time to cook a healthy breakfast or even sit down to eat a meal, there are only two options: don’t eat(worst thing ever) or make a smoothie on the go! I’ve been using a NutriBullet so that it’s quick and easy to clean! I try to stay away from the smoothies that look good but taste like WholeFoods (like way too healthy to even enjoy)So this morning I made myself the most AMAZING smoothie yet, so I had to share!  Without further adieu here is what I used:

  • 4 fresh strawberries
  • 7 pieces of chopped pineapple
  • 5 small pieces of chopped mango
  • quarter cup of mixed bluberries/raspberries
  • RED drink (contains, spinach, beets&berries)
  • 1 tsp of cold milled flax seed
  • 2 tsp freshly squeezed lime juice

I think that it’s important to put healthy fruits in and then mix it with a liquid (I usually just do chilled green tea) but I decided to switch it up since the RED drink was already in the fridge. I have to say that I finished eating the smoothie in about 10 minutes. The wonderful thing about the flax seeds is that they make you feel fuller for longer, so my cravings throughout the day are curbed to  a minimum. I pretty much mix it up every day, and some days I happen to come across the most delicious creations. Other days well.. let’s just say I should stick to the stuff I know.
