so yesterday was the first full day of our trip here in New York. We did so much stuff it was crazy! Started out with breakfast at David’s Bagels in Midtown then ventured down first ave all the way to the Chrysler building. Then we decided to go people watch in Grand Central station wich was beautiful and stressful to say the least! Then we popped into Berkely College for an unofficial tour, J is interested in attending. Then we made our way to fifth avenue, and saw Dakota Fanning! She was getting into her white Maibach from some international ladies club?! After a little star gazing (see what I did there) we walked through Central Park- of course we stopped for a pretzel dog on the way! Central Park this time of year is perfect. Everything is green and the weather was amazing. We were going to rent a row boat from the Loeb Boathouse, but they closed! So then we just perched ourselves onto a hill and looked out into the skyline for an hour. It was so peaceful, I’ve never experienced anything like that. After traipsing through the winding sidewalks that take over Central Park we hailed a cab and went to Serendipity3 (it’s a NYC must) and got their Frrrrrozen hot chocolate! (I was like a kid in a candy shop! Soo freaking good!) by the time we finished it was 7:30 and we hailed a cab home- only to change and go right back out again! We had dinner reservations at Catch on the Rooftop which “transitions into nightlife” at around 11. By that I mean crazy people with bottle service and a dj. So we were out on the open roof top and turn around only to see the big gay guy on Modern Family! I waved, he waved back, but then he turned back to his friends and continued on his night. I would have taken a picture with him but his publicist said no. (ruuuude.)  whatever, it was an amazing day/night… Did I mention everything stays open super late? I didn’t go to sleep until 6am this morning! Now I’m trying to pull myself together to enjoy what’s left of this day, then we’re going to a late night burlesque show tonight!

I love this city.
